As the markets crash and the global anxiety about coronavirus increases, I wonder if traffic to this forum will increase.

There are always more guests than registered users.

It's not funny, there are a lot of traders and people who lose money taking the skydive without a parachute, I work in life trading back in the 90's in London and it seems every other week there was a collection tin for the next of kin.

Ye, my friend told me that the one-day decrease was the greatest since 2008.
But guess it won't be a Great Depression again, markets really needed correction and I have been waiting for a new crisis since 2019. But it didn't come.
Btw there were more guests from the very first day of registration of mine.

Yes I think there are a lot of curious people and a few who are not confident enough to talk yet.

They put laws in place to ensure that the bubble doesn't pop the same way it did back then. I remember my Econ teacher telling us it was coming in 07

Oh, I never said it was funny. I'm aware of this phenomenon. People trading without proper stop losses, risk management and revenge trading.

Yes, true, I have been lurking on DN marketplaces a few years but never bought anything.

The largest problem is derivatives. It is when you can get 1000% of income in short-term. This thing attracts people and sometimes the amount of derivatives is 3 times more than the value of product. One of the reason of 2008 crisis was derivatives.

Yes just another event that may push me to overcome my fear of CTB. I lost my job and have been unemployed for some time. I will need to tap into my retirement account early which is heavily weighted in stock to stay afloat. If you would have asked me two years ago if I would have committed suicide I would have laughed. Funny how life can change.
