Money allows some people to live. If you cannot afford food, clothes or, the ultimate worse...a place to live...you die, a slow, horrible death. Many who choose suicide are faced with homelessness. I would use whatever was handy to end my life if I did not have a place to live. Many have already done so. There are numerous comments on this site regarding homelessness. Cannot go to a doctor? What is the point in living...cannot work...no money...no food...no safe place to live? Money allows you the time to know contentment and sometimes happiness. No money=death. Forgive me for saying this but, if you can, and if it is enough, set up a trust for those who are faced with eviction due to lack of funds.
I understand 'the dark night of the soul' or 'soul weariness'. Many here suffer from it. Maybe you do too my friend...(((Hugs))).

Please don't be offended, but are you sure this inheritance actually exists? Or did you just receive some random email from somone in Nigeria claiming to be the attorney for some long lost relative who just so happens to have left their millions to you? And all you need to do to claim your money is to send a wire transfer or deposit a (fraudulent) check?

I have to agree from personal experience, I also inherited money and felt no use for it other than using it for alcohol and drugs to try and block out the impending doom of suicidal tendencies. Even if I was a millionaire I'd feel the same way

Glad to be wrong! Hopefully you can find a few things to do that will bring you some joy. If not, there's SO much good you can do for others. Perhaps that's why you have been blessed with this money -- to lessen the burden for others rather than blow it on yourself.

I understand the feeling exactly. Even if I became rich right now I would just postpone my ctb for some exploration time. But after exploring a few countries I would just do it anyway. Money isn't everything even if it helps keep you off the streets.

As the saying goes "Id rather be crying in a mansion rather than on the streets." money won't solve everything but I don't blame you for wanting to ctb if you're going to end up on the streets.
