"We take back the right to die from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths like "it will get better," and we give it back to you... the people. The ability to die is yours. None shall interfere. Do as you please. Start by storming Exit International, and freeing the oppressed!"

Waiting on one order or two of supplies before I can assemble and test as a unit. Not sure about legality of disseminating construction plans but that would be a goal.

"The DIY debreather is armed! The DIY debreather is MOBILE! And the identity of the triggerman is a MYSTERY!" - Bane

Finished assembly and tested last night. Successful in drawing my pulse ox down from 98% to 82% in under ten mins. That's just holding the mask on, not attached as I didnt want an accident if I blacked out.

Under a hundred bucks to make and took about an hour once I had everything. Most supplies sourced from jungle site.

Folks, shit just got real. It is now safely stowed in case of emergency.

Whoever has the balls to actually be the first to CTB via a homemade debreather is a fucking pioneer. I don't think I could trust my own craftsmanship on something like this.

I am trying to figure out how to disseminate them without legal ramifications.

Its surprisingly simple and built from PVC pipe mostly.

I commend you for your efforts. I have many means of self deliverance. However, it never hurts to have options in life!

As do I lol. I like that this is completely painless and even relaxing...there was something comforting about the gentle clicking of the one-way valves and the expansion and contraction of the counterlung. I am about to toss most of my SN.

I'm so happy to hear that. You have a reliable way to escape and having the means can sometimes make someone feel at peace and calm. I wish you the best and hope that you will find peace in whatever you choose down the road.

17 years!? Talk about redundancy. If you're serious about this you need to run a full spectrum of tests and make an elaborate guide first. Then you can worry about where to host it.

Yesterday I was reading info I have saved.. Seems Exit had nothing to do with the development of the Debreather.

"The Debreather co-won the NuTech Assisted Suicide Prize for innovation in end of life technologies in Toronto. The DeBreather was initially conceived by BC Euthanasia Activist John Hofsess in the late 1990's. The new version of the Debreather builds on Hofsess' ground-breaking work to provide a device that enables a seriously ill/ elderly person to have a peaceful and reliable death at a time of their choosing. DeBreather, US designed winner of the 2017 Exit NuTech prize for technological innovation in providing better DIY elective death."

Yes, i see that now. I just know in my preliminary research i found references to Exit talking about it back to 2002. I dont know specifics of why it took so long.

Wordpress.com and blogspot.com are also 2 easy to use blogging platforms. Or we can discuss the plans further in pm or proton mail if u can send me a draft w web links And quick instructions.

What kind of tests would you want to see included in a package/guide?

I see the R2D design was tested by some volunteers who took pulse ox readings down to the 70s or 80s % and by "burning a candle in a sealed box with a debreather attached" or something.

Is this something that could be converted for use with a 3-D printer? Now that would be a game changer
They're not about to ban 3-printers so thus could potentially help millions of people and there'd be fuck all LE could do about it.
Well don't on your prototype and please think seriously about figuring out a method of converting it to a a 3-D printable format.

Its easier than that. You can make 90% of it from pvc pipe. They're certainly not going to ban Indoor Plumbing! ;)

That's certainly better for many people who are handy and, more importantly, don't have access to or can't afford 3-D printing.
However, for lazy un-coordinated people like me, a pro-looking kit available at a touch of a button would be far preferable. Especially if you could emboss it with some personalised emblem - like the grim reaper.... Or the Liverbird
