Suicide by traumatic brain injury (TBI) is something I don't often see in this forum, at least. One instance is a car accident, but I want to discuss other ways of TBI.

Why is this an interest? It can cause immediate death. This method directly attacks the brain.

Ways of TBI:

1. Heavy and hard object being thrown or smashed at the skull (brick, cinder block, rock,)

2. Being shot on the head by a gun

3. Falling to the ground

4. Smashing your head against a hard wall

There are countless reports and videos of people dying from having a cinder block or brick being thrown/falling on their head. They instantly go unconscious or die on the spot.

My idea:

I want to create a powerful slingshot that can penetrate the skull. The ammunition will be pebble or any dense and hard material similar to its size. Slingshot projects the ammo, hits and penetrates the skull, destroys brain, I die.

What's your opinion?

I appreciate your creative thinking about alternative methods, something other than the usual inquiries about where to source sn.

Jumping from buildings and shooting yourself are relative popular methods, but are often classified as their own methods and not really TBI.

One reason people avoid TBI because of its destructive nature and gory after match, their do not want their remains to be so traumatic. But you're correct if done with efficient force there is virtually no pain. People die from industrial accidents every day, problem is how to efficiently recreate them with good results.

Your idea of a slingshot is creative, it would require quite a bit of engineering and researching to pull something like that off. The positive is upon completion the result is easily replicated since it's not designed to single use. The part that is difficult to me is the aiming I'm afraid, wouldn't a bigger crossbow be more beneficial for a more precise hit? Nonetheless it would still require quite a bit of engineering to achieve.

That seems like a lot of work and the potential for failure would be huge. No way I'd try this.

I know someone that jumped off a bridge, and survived. Has permanent brain damage (amongst other serious permanent damage), but not in a vegetative state (they were when it first happened). The brain is resilient
