The Demiurge is an imperfect god who, through incompetence or malevolence, created material existence. He divided his own essence and infused it into beings to make them conscious. The Demiurge has access to multiple individual experiences; he wants to observe the world also through prisms beyond his omniscience. He made reality the propitious environment where supreme absurdity can exist. Physical existence is an architectural flaw that only generates unnecessary suffering.

This concept comes from Gnosticism, which combined the metaphysical god with materialistic nihilism. This particularly explains why I feel trapped.

The Gnostics felt the way we all feel, trapped in a cruel, indifferent, pitiless world, but just like everyone else, they made shit up to try and explain their suffering.

There is no evidence for a Demiurge, or whatever else they taught. Please don't swallow all that crap hook, line, and sinker.
