The definition of SI - I'm confused

Before joining SaSu I was under the impression that "SI" was referring to the clinical term suicide ideation. A simple Google search will confirm my assumption. But I see the term SI being used differently here. I see it being used as fear of CTB or hesitation to go through with ctb. Would someone mind clarifying for me please?

It can refer to suicidal ideation, but most folks here use it to mean survival instinct, i.e. the biologically ingrained mechanisms that make it really hard to kill oneself.

Ahhhhh got it, thanks for clarifying. So SaSu has their own definition of SI...
