If you needed to be found by the right people and no one else. Definitely way sooner than later, but after 12-16 hours. How would you do it? Schedule something?
Actually I don't have anyone to schedule time with making the right people police…You should probably schedule a meet-up with friends the following day after you die. (If friends would be considered as the right people for you.) Of course, it's imperative that you live alone to avoid anyone finding you beforehand.
Yeah I just don't want anyone other then the police to find me because of the mental damage to family and friends.I thought about leaving a note in my mailbox asking them to contact the police.
I wouldn't trust Alexa/Siri you might end up getting a 'wellness check' but I'm not tech savvy maybe that'd work.Yeah I just don't want anyone other then the police to find me because of the mental damage to family and friends.
I even thought of trying to schedule Alexa or Siri to call 911 on a certain day at a certain time. Either that doesn't exist or I'm not smart enough to figure it out.
I've got to think of something. I refuse to leave my dogs alone longer than 14-16 hours so this is really important to me.I wouldn't trust Alexa/Siri you might end up getting a 'wellness check' but I'm not tech savvy maybe that'd work.
That's actually a really good idea. She lives about 45 minutes from me and I wonder how long mail will take to get to her. Like if it will be someday, lost…, or next day.Send a letter to your sister.
In the letter, tell her " if you read this it's because i'm dead, i CTB'd at -enter gps coordinates/location- " and ask her to call the police as soon as she receives it. The police will get to the location and find your body, and they won't let anyone approach the scene.
If you mention you want your dogs to be taken care of by her daughter she will do it and tell the police.
Just time it right from the moment you send the letter to the moment you CTB so that you don't leave your dogs alone for too long.
Unless you're afraid she gets there before the cops, i don't see how else you could do it, because it's the same thing with a delayed email; but i don't really trust email companies since the Patriot Act and they probably scan the content for certain keywords but maybe i'm too paranoïd idk.
That's a really good idea also. What email system can be scheduled. I tried ymail and gmail and can't seem to find the option. My plan is to schedule an email to be sent to my local police station at 8am the morning after I ctb. I've drafted the email - subject line is "dead person at [address]" and it says where to find my house key so they don't need to break the door down, as well as my dad's phone number so they can inform him, plus instructions for where to take my dog.
So with the time between my death (evening/night) and the email my dog will only be alone overnight so hopefully won't be too distressed.
The only way it wouldn't work is if their email isn't checked often so they don't see it until later on, though I hope the subject line would grab their attention and they'd send officers round asap.
I use outlook which can be scheduled :) and I've just googled how to do it on gmail and found this, hope it helpsThat's actually a really good idea. She lives about 45 minutes from me and I wonder how long mail will take to get to her. Like if it will be someday, lost…, or next day.

Ah good to know, thanks. I'll need a backup then like a second email to a friend scheduled a couple hours later in case the police one doesn't get through.Be aware of the police spam filters though, they do exist and could screw your plan. They sometimes have IT guys who from time to time get either bored or zealous and tweak their systems because cops are as stupid as corporate employees (if not more) and click on phishing links/photos. IT guys hate that and tend to overkill to prevent an apocalypse.
Send a snail mail letter to the police the day of. That's what I'm going to do. I plan on CTB on a Saturday night, so if I send the letter that evening, since there's no delivery on Sunday, and the way the mail is, I doubt they would receive the letter before Tuesday at the earliest. My plan is to schedule an email to be sent to my local police station at 8am the morning after I ctb.
You can scedule a g-mai without app or anything, look it up its a pretty easy to use feature. You could probably download an app that lets you shedule text messages/emails in advance? I've never tried it myself, but I've heard they exist

Well, you could lock the dog in another room with enough food and water for several days.Good idea in theory but having a dog means I need to be found quite quickly after I die, ideally within 12 hours. Good call for people without pets though :)
Sad thing is the dogs would just eat it all in one go lol. They don't know how to spread it out. That's going to be one incredibly large Poo lolWell, you could lock the dog in another room with enough food and water for several days.
Oh. It's been so long since I had a dog, I didn't really think about that. Yeah, that really would be quite a pile, almost worth paying an entrance fee just to see it.Sad thing is the dogs would just eat it all in one go lol. They don't know how to spread it out.
