The biggest problem facing our world right now is unadulterated greed

Greed is the worst. There's a reason every major religion and society across the entire world condemns it and determines it to be one of the worst sins/behaviors in existence. Greed blinds people. It corrupts people. It gives in to the worst, most opportunistic, and exploitative aspects of our personality and takes a strong hold. Greed has been the primary motivator for every war in the past 100 years. Greed is destroying nations, destroying families, destroying cultures, and destroying the planet, all for the benefit of a few.

not to be a contrarian, but i feel like greed is a natural human emotion, like compassion and consideration.
When it becomes a problem, like being greedy for the sake of greed itself, it elevates to the level of avarice.
I feel like avarice is the problem plaguing the world, regardless of the society type or form. Though in certain societies, avarice is actively encouraged which makes it even worse in my view :(
