So I told a pro-lifer how I felt and she freaked out which caused her to file a report to my university. The police then came a few hours after the report to my door asked if they could talk inside of my apartment, and I told them that "I do not give consent"; they then moved on to demanding ID, of which you are not legally required to give unless they suspect you of committing a crime so I told em no. They threatened me with "we can do this the easy way or the hard way" which is so bullshit, but getting placed in cuffs would basically guarantee I would never see the light of day ever again. So I complied with their illegal demands, but as I went into my room to grab it, I encrypted my computer so that they would be unable to see that I hang out on here. After the ID they told me that I had a choice of going to get help or not to, I told them that I would rather not. Yeah no they told me without telling me that is was to go with them willingly or in cuffs. I complied.

After the drive to the ER I was put into the psych unit where I met a guy who had been trapped there for a while, and had just recently jumped out a window to try to escape. His feet and legs were covered in dry blood, cuts and wounds from the glass with him looking defeated and battered in a hospital gown. He started rambling to me about gear ratios and how you can use some to make a drone more efficient, and he was shocked that I knew of what he was talking about. I was taken to my "room" where I was told I needed to wear a hospital gown, and how I had to change in front of cameras... but they have a method as to not show anything if you change in a specific order. Even with that fact its disgusting that I would get no privacy before they even did an evaluation on me. So after that they took my stuff away into a separate area they said I would be evaluated "soon". So I did nothing but started to think of an escape plan if it came to it, so first thing I would need is to get access to civilian clothing, and I looked in the stretcher in my room to hide contraband, along with all sorts of other plans. So after that I waited, with people coming in every now and again offering me food, asking me to sign some stuff of which I did not sign; overall I just sat in a chair for 2 hours in a white room not doing anything, and just thinking what I would say.

That is until one woman came in and asked me if I wanted something for my anxiety, I told her I'm good and she asked if I wanted anything; I just wanted a pamphlet that had my rights on it, since in the one I was given at the front desk said I could wear my own clothes. She went to go look for it, and then was unable to find one, but she started telling more about my rights and we just struck up a conversation. It started with gaming, culture, where we have lived, chemistry, politics, then finally philosophy. I started asking her about life and suicide as a whole, and she told me how she is sympathetic since we live in a crappy world, and how people who can't experience life fully should have the choice to die. However for her suicide is not worth it, due to medical technology being highly advanced and can bring you back in a worse state than you were in before. She even said to me that she would love to work in assisted suicide, and even talked about how it should be legal. At this point I am genuinely shocked, since most nurses are very pro-life but she was what "A realist". After realizing that I could trust her I started talking about the rationality of suicide, and how both living and dying cannot be rational since death cannot be analyzed, she listened to that, container theories, etc. She was very interested in it then I asked after I had explained suicide rationality "What of me do you make this?" she gave me a look... of approval.

I was shocked, it showed on my face too, and she then gave me ADVICE on what to do to get out of there as well as to talk to a lawyer to get me a DNR since she said "your 18, and when you get discharged you will legally be in right state of mind". This allows me have a will that is unchangeable, an DNR, and whatever else I need to let me have a safe and peaceful exit. She even gave me her therapist's business card, of which she told me that I would like them since we think similarly and she even said "She will probably agree with you too". I responded with "Y'all are sick!" just in shock at how much advice I have been given, but it's nice to be understood. After all of that I got evaluated by someone, after 4 whole hours of waiting, and I just painted a picture of how this was all just a big misunderstanding with my friend with me making a joke about hanging myself, and I just acted blunt to make it look like I am all good. I got my discharge papers, I got my clothes, phone, and all that stuff. The woman was about to head off for her lunch break, but before that I asked her if I could giver her a note, she had some paper, and I wrote down the link to this site, and my username. I told her this site and how it harbors similar thoughts to her own; there is a good chance she is reading this very post. If you are reading this, thank you. When she left for her lunch, she very deliberately said "I wish you the best in whatever you choose" I have never met anyone like that before in the medical world. I the hospital then got back to my home without the police ever trespassing, so I still have my items to CTB. This is the best ending that could have ever happened when visiting that dreaded place.

TLDR:
I friend reported me, and the cops gave me a hard time then took me to the hospital. I then met a woman who was very pro-choice with life, and even gave me advice how to setup for the aftermath of my death. I got out of ward, and told her she should visit here.

I would have not answered. Let them break down the door. Police are allowed to lie to you and they tricked you.
