What is the best item for selfharm? I do it with double edge razor blade but i wonder is the is someting better.
You have to cut a slit into a toothbrush or the like to hold the blade. This definitely isn't the best method, but
When I was in high school, I used to tear open disposable razors and use those blades. They're very small and discrete and so are the cuts/wounds even after they heal.
The con however, is that because they are so small and flimsy, it's not always easy to grip or control the direction of the blade.
you're on a suicide site? how do those things not coexistI think people attracted to self-harm should seek professional help, and not be encouraged.
CTB solves problems if you pay the price with your life (very high indeed). Self-harm for the sake of is always sick, it's a sickness, nothing to do with you as individuals. CTB might be sick sometimes too, but not always. Please seek professional help.you're on a suicide site? how do those things not coexist
i find self harm solves the problem of dissociation and gives me a sense of peace. i have professional help and they understand why i do it. i've done worse things to my body with bigger consequences and know the tools to make the sense of relief as safe and clean as possible. shaming strangers who cope the ways they do into silence when they speak to other likeminded individuals on a safe open minded platform won't stop the fact that people self harm. i mean look at the posts, some have used glass, i know people who used a dull blade and had less control over the mess. with clean sharp tools you heal better while still getting the relief you crave. i guess it's just an instance of let people do what they want with their body, giving resources to stay safer without judgment is the only way someone can possibly help. to claim self harm is only for sick people white saying suicide isn't is poorly written, you're sick if you want to cause harm to your body, through suicide or self harm. that's not a bad thing that's just a fact. it can be physical or mental but there's a clear craving to have control over your body (why else would you stage a death for yourself). no disrespect to your view, it's a natural one to be repulsed by the idea of someone doing something like that to a living body. just don't forget to consider where others may come from, with an open mind. we aren't forcing anyone to do anything, just making knowledgeable statements to make something like that cleaner with lower risk of something going awry. stay at peace, and again i mean no disrespect.CTB solves problems if you pay the price with your life (very high indeed). You made me nostalgic. I miss so bad time when i started to SH. I miss so my superficial cuts. I would do anything on this world to go back into that time and to don't do mistakes which led me to this state. I had certian problems then, they were solvable, i was full of life, the most important thing i was healthy. Then shits happened.I'm a (laughable) newbie to SH . It only started at the beginning of Lockdown but it's become so useful, in terms of creating physical pain to distract (too briefly) from the emotional pain: I've been using safety pins to carve words into my skin. It burns and sometimes bleeds. I give myself a week or two (if I'm still around) before the shiny Exacto blades I've bought will come into play...
