I hate it when people say "It beats the alternative" when speaking about death. As if death were a mere option or possibility. We are all going to die, and there's a good chance your last day just might be your worst. Why not cut to the chase?

There's a lot of stigma surrounding death in today's society, so much that people can't even say the word death without feeling uncomfortable. This is probably part of the reason that ctb, even rational ctb/ctb in the case of terminal illness, is reviled so much by most of society

Especialy the monotheistic religions did good work there in the past 2000 years to create an anti-suicide society. I always admired people in ancient times especially during the reign of the roman empire when people CTBed when there was no way out for them anymore or it was honorable to CTB instead of being a "loser". There's nothing wrong about dieing and death as we all are gonna die sooner or later and certain circumstances can lead to the decision to ctb because it's the one only relief from personal agony and suffering.

It certainly is like many people forget that we are all destined to die anyway by the way that they are so anti-suicide, seeing suffering as being something to be prolonged at all costs. Death is the most normal thing after all and I could never see a point to this futile, unnecessary existence where we are just destined to decay, only non-existence appeals to me personally. It could never make sense to me seeing non-existence as being a bad thing as there are no disadvantages to not existing, nobody can be harmed by being unable to suffer.

Good chance ur last week or month as well as last day might be ur worst.

I see my ctb as avoiding that torture and ctb avoiding being tortured to death by cancer , alsheimers etc.

We are all going to die anyway. It's not if u die or even when you go but how.

Everything a human does in a brief insignificant life will be gone forever after death . All wealth all memories everything gone forever. Because after death a human ceases to exist forever. Will never exist again.

Even the earth and sun are dying. The universe itself is expanding into nothingness. The universe has always expanded since the big bang and the expansion is accelerating.

People have no idea that If u visualize the earth as the tinyest dot u can see. It's In a black void of space hundreds of kilometers in that scale to the nearest next star not the sun but the next star . The nearest star Is 25 trillion miles away from earth. The sun is 92 million miles from Earth

imo the universe has already reached heat death by entropy only details remain
