DISCLAIMER: Please keep in mind that I'm not smart. I followed instructions as best as possible. I feel confident it's accurate but ultimately you have to follow your intuition..do testing as well and as much research as possible.

So I believe a week or so into April I did purchase SN from SD source.
It came in about a week in a sealed manilla envelope.
I opened to see it's stored in another sealed bag. So I immediately put it in a simple plastic bread container.
I purchased to see how fast it would come and to see if I would get a welfare check.
After about a week I felt confident I wasn't scammed and no welfare check.
I then purchase more so I could test with one.
I posted about my playing with the first batch to get comfortable and because I opened it I immediately transferred to sealed glass jar.
I say that to say it's been opened a few times with a good amount of time in between. To me this batch is old and has been exposed to air because I had to obviously dig in to scoop out what I needed for testing.
My first time messing with it I didn't follow any instructions. I just got a cup of distilled water..mixed the wrong amount and used a strip to see what would happen.
Of course nothing.
Well today I followed instructions as close as possible with the batch of SN that had been opened.
I did the vizzy instructions.
I took a 1L bottle and filled it with distilled water.
I poured from that bottle into measuring cups to 500ml.
I poured each 500ml into 2 separate cups.
I took 2.5g of SN and mixed in one cup.
I stirred for 60 seconds and check to make sure it's completely dissolved.
I took 20ml from cup 2.
I took a pippet of 1ml from cup 1 and added to the cup that I poured the 20ml from.
I took the strip and dipped for a few seconds and immediately I saw color.
I took out and placed on towel and waited ...and just for clarification I dipped a strip in cup 1.
Cup 1 immediately showed nitrate.
I feel cup 2 showed nitrite.
So in conclusion I believe the SD source ..the more expensive offer...is legit.
I still have SN from SD not opened and stored in the bread box.
So these results make me feel comfortable that the unopened SN will work when I attempt.
Any suggestions and feedback is appreciated.
