I am going to do a trial run today. I hope it works, and actually gets the deed done but from what I've read here most people end up stopping themselves. I have 20ft of thick manila rope which I know I need to cut even for full suspension as its too long to even spread out across any of the rooms in my house, too difficult to tie a knot in, and very heavy. Thinking of cutting it in in half? Or maybe for now just cut a small part off to try the partial suspension? I'm going to use the metal bar in my wardrobe. Hopefully it doesn't break as I need it for now lol. The knot I'm going to try is the slipknot.

Test if the bar can carry the weight by using your hand in place of your head in the noose.

It's one thing failing by your own body standing you up enough to get air, you're not usually out long enough for brain damage or severe damages to yourself.
It's a completely different story if your anchor point breaks, as you might regain consciousness when brain damage is setting in.

Thanks, I will. Wish I had something more suitable or stronger in my home but I don't.

I strongly suggest that if you don't think it can hold out for an hour if you attempt, do not go through with it. Remember you're gonna be thrashing around unconsciously too, and you'll have no control over how hard you do that.

You're putting me off now lol...why does this shit have to be so difficult. I blame TV for making it look easy. I intend to do the final deed in the woods but I wanted to do a trial run first.

I think I will do full or partial but im thinking the doorknob. tying it to the outside door knob and throwing it over the door and shutting it. when I first attempted full I did this and It worked pretty well. I know alot of people suggest it for partial.

In my place I only have handles not knobs. I'm really limited here unfortunately.

Believe me, I wish it wasn't so hard too. Every day I wake up and I'm miserable that I have. But remember, this is a decision to end everything, so you wanna make sure that if you're doing it, it's done correctly, 'cause if your life sucks now, it'll be even worse with brain damage and you likely won't be able to attempt again.
Research as much as you can, look into anything that can go wrong and how to minimise it.
This is the biggest decision of your life, so if you want to go, be certain of it. If you feel like you might wanna stuck around, give yourself that time to see if you change your mind.

I really wish I could do it outdoors. when I first had thoughts of ctb I wanted to be in the woods by a creek similar to the one I grew up by. I wanted to lay down and listen to the little animals running around on the crunchy leaves and the water trickling while I faded out by some poison that put me to sleep forever. unfortunately for 1. this isnt a movie.... lol 2. my house is the safest place to do it. So your outdoor plan is better than mine.
