hello guys. i had initially planned to ctb in 4 days, but i also feel like today would be a good day to go and possibly more ideal since im not at my home currently and the chances of people finding me here are very low . i havent eaten/drank anything since 1:30 pm so atleast the fasting part has begun. is it absolutely necesscary to test the SN? My SN is acs 99% pure. its also from a reputed brand. can people dm me and tell me if this is a reliable SN?

How would you test it? Because i am wondering the same thing... but not sure how i'd do that as i've heard these test strips aren't really reliable.

If its from DMC then I don't think you should have to worry as lots of people here have had successful attempts with DMC SN so its very reliable.

Just to clarify, the post you are referring to says most testing instructions on this site don't take into account that nitrite tests strips and aquarium kits measure nitrite ions, not sodium nitrite as a whole. Sodium nitrite dissolves into sodium and nitrite ions.

This does not mean you can't do a correct test (an example is in the linked thread). The strips and test kits work, they are not very accurate in the sense that it is hard to discern the color of the result.
