Which method of testing SN is more likely to give a more accurate estimate of purity? Using a test strip from Amazon or a "testing kit" that you can buy for water treatment that include reagent packets?
In simple terms, both work on the same principle, but the test kit results are just easier to read by eye. However, you need to recalculate the values since their nitrite threshold is lower
All the calculations you'll find on the forum are figured for a final nitrite concentration of 10 ppm. Liquid tests usually have a lower limit, like 3 ppm. This means you'll need to recalculate to get the right concentration
