What is the difference? is it true a shot to the temple doesn't work?

Gunshot wounds to the head are fatal about 90% of the time, with many victims dying before arriving to the hospital. For victims who survive the initial trauma, about 50% die in the emergency room.
BUT , caliber and type of bullet is important, small bullets will enter your skull and have a chance to not come out and leave you in agony or not kill you at all, while full metal jacket ones will make two holes and wreck everything in his path , even exploding your head no mather if you shot your mouth or temple .

Depends on a lot of things. Temporal shots are 90% fatal. Through the mouth depends on the size of barrel and caliber of gun. Do research, don't overthink. Some pro-life people on here will have you believing that humans are borderline invincible. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I think a mouth shot may be easier (just NEVER under the chin!) and the most important part is to make sure the brainstem is hit otherwise you may risk surviving with permanent and debilitating injuries, leaving you in worse shape than prior to the attempt. The reason NEVER to aim under the chin is because you will likely hit something that is non-fatal, but results in immense agony and high chance of survival (especially with immediate medical attention). Going the firearms method can have no room for error and it's something to be 100% before going through because one can risk possibly permanent damage for failing.

There are some resource threads with good info. on using firearms. Shot placement,gun caliber and ammo are all very important for success and not catastrophic injury. I would really do my homework on this method.

Would suggest checking out the Firearms MegaThread. Chances of survival are pretty bleak in general which is why this leaps and bounds the most common method in America anyways. No method is 100% but hands down firearms would be both the quickest and most reliable method out there with a shotgun being the gold standard for firearms.
