Sounds violent. If you have a gun why wouldn't you just shoot your temple? You're going to give people a lot of cleanup to do.

Probably OP is looking to maximise the effectiveness of the attempt. But an intraoral shot with a gun should do. There's no need to complicate things too much.
It'll do a lot of damage for sure. But explosives like that can be chaotic. Never know how it will end up. You could hurt yourself terribly and not really get a reliable death.
A headshot is probably more controlled and effective.

I agree with the others, if you have a gun you're best off putting it to your temple and shooting.

If it were me I'd skip the temple. Intraoral is best followed by a shot right behind the ear.
Ideally you want to hit the parts of the brain to do with life like the brain stem or mid brain and not the frontal lobe. I'm not saying that a temple shot can't kill you because it can, but if it doesn't you could end up way worse than you are now.
