  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I often find myself making little comments or jokes about CBT. I did it with my exwife and continue to do it with my girlfriend. The situations vary. For example, maybe I'll make a quip when I'm annoyed at something (but don't really mean it) and other times I'll do it when I'm in a very obvious dark place (and very much mean it).

Both my ex and gf hate it, but in a way, I think I may be desensitizing them to the eventuality. Perhaps years of comments make it a little easier to cope if that time comes. Or is it really years of "crying out for help"? Both did/have done everything that it's in their power to help me (short of having me institutionalized). I dunno, just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else can relate.

I personally see it as best to not tell others about wanting to leave this world. In my case it could never do good and would only make things worse. I'm sorry that you suffer so much. I hope that in whatever happens, you find relief from what you are going through.

Nobody can say what you actually mean with those quips. But whether it's a cry for help, a coping mechanism, or whatever else... Just don't judge yourself for it. Whatever you name it, it's you going through a complex human emotion you're entitled to explore, even if that causes you to make mistakes (ie say things you later regret).

Your girlfriend might not like it, but her disposition isn't the only one to take into consideration. That's not to say you shouldn't go along with her, just that such a decision should take your feelings into account as well.

I like bottling my feelings up and not involving anyone. However, I've recently been so obsessed with suicide that talking about it doesn't register on my social filter anymore... and that's fine. I'm going through enough without having to worry about how the knowledge of that makes other people feel.

I hope you find peace.

imho being suicidal is something your gf/bf deserves to know. Just seems like common sense to me. Similar to if you have a cancer that's going to kill you in 1 year, that's something you should be upfront about. I mean it's not necessary to inform on first date, but shouldn't wait too long. It would be unfair to make them fall in love with you before you tell them.

That's why I don't even bother finding a new gf. Either I choose life or death, can't have both.

Joking about something is a natural way of dealing with it.
However I dont like people fussing over me so I dont usually mention any such things myself.
If it helps you though bro there nothing wrong with it.

Suffer in silence. It's the only way you can ensure your safety, seclusion/privacy and autonomy in a world full of people doped up on the white pill. All love♥️

I joke about it and I hate myself for it, I use it to cope but I'm afraid I'm hurting my loved ones even more...
