Is that the "sweet spot"?Bend your head backwards. While your head is bent backwards move your fingers on your neck until you feel these blobs pulsating or until you feel those blobs. They should be right under your jaw. That's where the carotid bifurcations are.
Theoretically yes. That's where they say to aim. I never got to pass out but you might have luck.Is that the "sweet spot"?
So that would be the best place to put rope? I keep seeing post saying below Adam's apple and then others saying above.Theoretically yes. That's where they say to aim. I never got to pass out but you might have luck.
For me it seems to be slightly above the Adam's apple. That's where I can feel the strongest pulse. I had trouble achieving black out using fingers or a tourniquet with some padding placed in the general area of the carotids. So I was playing around with the case of my AirPods Pro and another similar shaped hard object today and pressed them hard where I felt my pulses on both sides and on the second attempt after adjusting the location a bit once again checking for the area with the strongest pulse I almost knocked myself out in about 5 seconds. Vision was about to go white, hearing was gone, felt very dizzy. This was completely different to my prior experiences with the tourniquet where I just felt the pulse in my neck and not much else. It was also incredibly painless! So that would be the best place to put rope? I keep seeing post saying below Adam's apple and then others saying above.
I'd like to say everyone's built different. You just have to experiment and see for yourself. So that would be the best place to put rope? I keep seeing post saying below Adam's apple and then others saying above.
Wouldn't the carotid arteries basically be in the same place for everyone?I'd like to say everyone's built different. You just have to experiment and see for yourself.
yes it's in the same place, but people have different neck sizes and muscle sizes near the carotid.Wouldn't the carotid arteries basically be in the same place for everyone?
Well yeah but this is why I say everyone's built different. You hear people getting success with putting the ligature above the adam's apple, others have success with putting below. You'll have to experiment and see what works for you.Wouldn't the carotid arteries basically be in the same place for everyone?
a lot of ppl I have spoken too - its been above the apple but me its below to get the dispersed effect - it is all about testingWell yeah but this is why I say everyone's built different. see? exactly. everyone's different.a lot of ppl I have spoken too - its been above the apple but me its below to get the dispersed effect - it is all about testing
its all about trial and error - when there is error in trial then its the right time to try - hell knows it might be in the next bible in 2054 hasee? exactly. everyone's different.
It's hard to test if you are going for full suspension thougha lot of ppl I have spoken too - its been above the apple but me its below to get the dispersed effect - it is all about testing
Think full suspension is likely to compress the trachea. Partial suspension tends to be a blood choke similar to the night night method. In the latter two methods, getting pressure on the carotids is key to success. It's also virtually painless if you get the perfect spot. It's hard to test if you are going for full suspension though
I thought partial suspension just meant part of your body is touching the ground? Wouldn't it be the same procedure as full then or in partial do you need to lean forward instead of lowering yourself straight down?Think full suspension is likely to compress the trachea. I think for partial there is some element of leaning forward but I am no expert and have not tried that myself. I imagine that you lower yourself while also leaning forward to get sufficient compression so that you lose consciousness then you will drop down further as your muscles relax after blacking out.I thought partial suspension just meant part of your body is touching the ground? So something like standing with your back against a door and sliding your body straight down ?I think for partial there is some element of leaning forward but I am no expert and have not tried that myself. If you mean the final position when you've lost consciousness? Yes.So something like standing with your back against a door and sliding your body straight down ?
Have you seen the video with the Syrian girl? If so , is that partial or full that she did ?If you mean the final position when you've lost consciousness? Yes.
I think I remember...It started off as a partial but then the noose tightened and as she blacked out she dropped most her weight on it (which I guess is more of a full)Have you seen the video with the Syrian girl? If so , is that partial or full that she did ?
It was on a YouTube video of a demonstration how the chocking game kills. She stands on a small stool but seems like her feet touch the ground. In that video, she doesn't lean forward. She just lets herself drop straight down. That's why I questioned if leaning is needed?I think I remember...It started off as a partial but then the noose tightened and as she blacked out she dropped most her weight on it (which I guess is more of a full)
I'm not sure if leaning is needed. That video didn't even use a noose, and she was able to lose consciousness like that. However for me I can't quite do it like that because my adam's apple gets in the way and becomes too uncomfortable. Trapped and ctb? If you ctbed, then it as a successhi all I've not been on for a few days as been trying to drink myself to death but as an alcoholic - fat chance of that working! if you or anyone are doing the night night method then take my advice. if you have a strap (I got mine from the excess that was cut from a ratchet strap from b&q so was testing this as a trial run, next I'd advise you use some pipe insulation (medium size) and cut 2 pieces that are a few cm longways, stick these on the strap and line it up around your arteries on your neck (or where ever you think your sweet spot is.
Once all set up, get both ends of the strap and wrap it round your neck as like your doing a cross - then pull hard. I did this and after 5 seconds I think it was - I was almost passing out and was stumbling around for about 20 mins (almost like standing up too quickly or being spun on a roundabout too fast) I'll be attempting this soon in a hotel with the same method but tighten the ratchet strap as far as air will go before it cuts off my airways as this is the point where it will be painful.
I always see anything physically like hanging or similar then do a trial run first but don't put your self in a position that if your not ready then you can back out at last minute - I've read forums where people have done practice runs only to get trapped and CBT - nothing worse than being ready to CBT and something fails.
I will be getting a hotel in the next few days and making a goodbye thread - after all is ready to go and I don't reply then take it as a message it has been successful.
also typo there - after doing the test run it was 20 secs not mins sorry :(
