Greetings,

the title already suggests what I want to discuss here today.

Let's say someone decided to catch the bus by jumping from 20 - 24 stories. That should be about 200 - 240 feet (60m - 75m), right? Now, let's also say, this hypothetical person somehow survived that. Doesn't matter how, but they survived..... What state is this person in?

I think my worst nightmare would be being left in even worse mental and physical condition after failing to die of such a height somehow. Knowing someone that suffered of locked-in syndrome after a stroke was enough for me, to be honest. I couldn't imagine the hellish pain alongside something like that, too.

What do you think?

Regards

I think your fears are very valid, its also my worst fear and failure is not an option,. Having said that no method is full proof every method has a varying degree of risk even a firearm. Person like me gets anxiety/panic attack, from thinking about the failure of CTB plan.

Now the Million $$ question is how to address and alleviate the risk fear and maximize the probability of success. As the alternative of not doing it is not bearable or acceptable.

3 strategies I am trying to apply are
1) extensive research and learning (may be its a story tell myself to label my overthinking:)
2) Practice feel the spot visualization of the action and get more mentally acclimated and comfortable
3) Backup if in US DNR through healthcare advance directive.

The mortality rate of falls from 18m or more are rounded up to 100% so u wont be survivng such a thing and i wouldnt worry about it.
Dont land on your feet and try to land on a flat surface but even if u do both of these things your chances of living are still pretty much 0.
If a miracle happend u will most likely end up in a coma, mentally or/and physically disabled or u just might break a few bones and walk again there is so many variables in play to what injuries u might get that its impossible to know for sure but u will for sure make headlines as its pretty much impossible to survive that.
Much love and good luck 🤗
