What do you think of having a partner for suicide?

I edited the poll for clarity. - Threads

In my opinion, sharing suicide with a person who has your same suffering, could give much more courage than a solitary suicide.

Sort of my dream, but it has been hard to coordinate. Everyone is so far away, can't travel, or has methods that are different.

Suicide is a highly personal life altering decision.

I support those whom desire to have a partner, I want to and I will die alone. I don't want others around me when I am dying.

For assistance purposes, but I wouldn't want to die side by side with someone. Maybe in separate rooms lol. But then I'd just feel like a user. It would be nice to meet someone likeminded and accepting of my decision.

I think a partner adds a lot of unwanted variables, better to go alone

I am in full support as long as both partners are in an agreement and it's consensual.

I don't trust a partner.

I would prefer a suicide coach. Imagine standing in a chair with that rope tied around my neck and someone yelling at me to jump. I'd definitely do it then. I'm a big idiot. All you have to do is yell at me and I'll do anything.

Much prefer if someone was there to make sure it was done right. I can't tell you how many times I felt utterly hopeless that my husband couldn't just make sure I was really going to be dead or do it for me. I am paranoid, having come back from the dead before and cheating death a number of times this last year. The body is very hard to kill/die. I feel very uncertain that it would all go through okay. I can think of billions of things that can go wrong for every method, and the two times I tried, I totally failed. Didn't even get dizzy.

For legal reasons in australia its vetter to go at it alone.
If you have a pact and one survives they are charged with manslaughter for aiding the other in suicide.

That's the only part that is kind of scary. I think having someone there with you who is in a similar situation wanting to CTB and whom is going by the same method it makes it much easier. You have someone there to work through it together. My chosen method is N, and my suicide partner as well. I really think it's going ot help a lot to have someone there with you who is also drinking it so it's more motivation to get it down. IT has crossed my mind though what if one survives?

I personally would not go seek for a partner because I have trust issues and I'm paranoid.

No partner for me. I've always preferred to do most everything alone. Also it would freak me the fuck out to possibly be implicated in someone else's death if I was to survive.

Having said that there can be nothing lonelier than having to face the great unknown totally alone.

I am absolutely for having a partner. In group it is more easy, i think. It is better to have assistance. Have technical, physical and mental help.

Definitely not. Anybody who wishes to spend their last moments on this planet with me is, by definition, a weirdo who should be avoided.

I was just thinking what if you decide to CTB with a partner and take N. for example. You're partner CTB but somehow you survive. Would you be prosecuted with murder especially if you bought the N.?..... maybe having a partner isn't a good idea then

After what I've been through, hell no.
there's are all unpredictable and unforeseen complications. You might get yourself into a place which is worse than death.
If the partner is right, then it's a different story, but you just can't be sure about that. With the huge risk,it's just not worth it

I'd pay good money to someone who's willing to turn my brain into mush properly. I don't have much to offer, admittedly, but still.

I think that means your paying someone to kill someone. Assuming they dont do it can you be fined for "hiring a hit on yourself"?

Actually in the UK you can be charged with conspiring to commit your own murder , if you survive of course.

I hope that doesnt apply to suicide victims who survive and only when there is another party involved. :/
