  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

If someone is in an "abusive" situation and has to deal with mental disorders anyway but has a chance to "be ok" however still wants to ctb...

Knowing the advice one gives and one takes is different...

Do you say its their choice or say maybe take the chance?

What would you do yourself? Cotinue with ctb because it doesnt matter or take a deep breath and take a step forward, praying to god you dont fall flat on your face?

FWIW, I think if someone is making a considered decision, then it's up to them.

I think if I knew someone who was in that situation, and they had the chance to be okay, maybe I would try to help them improve their situation. The option to exit this world is always there if things do not work out. Of course, we have the right to exit this world at a time of our choosing and we do not have to justify our reasons for leaving this world. It is up to the individual, only they know whether ctb is the right thing for them.

Idk, I feel like CTB is something you need to be at or nearly at 100% confidence that it is the only option that will work.

It's always their choice.

I'd say it depends on the abuse and on the mental disorders. Is the abusive situation easy - in theory - to walk away from (i.e. no kids, no financial constraints, etc)? What exactly is the mental disorder?

I'd say try to distance yourself from the abuse and see how you feel after. The abusive situation alone can skew your lens very dark.

I would advise you to step away from the abuse if it's possible to do so. If you have no obligations financially, or children why not walk away and see how you feel afterwards CTB can always come later
