Are any of the methods the same as discussed here? Any new ones? I'm not familiar with the book.

Well, on one hand he presents the exit bag as a method of which I am not sure how successful that method is. And on the other hand he presents different poisons (chloroquine, pentobarbital and sodium acid) which are very hard to get in Europe.
