Suicide is never an Option?

Why is suicide seen by many as an option you should never, ever take? And life is considered always better? Even when youre severely disabled or terminally ill. Its always completely healthy people who say you should stay alive, even in the worst conditions. Why exactly should suicide never be considered an option? Is it because of religion? Or what are the reason, suicide is considered completely wrong? Why is it that suicidal people are not right i the head?

My guess is they say it to make themselves feel better, or if a suicidal person tells them they're suicidal, they say that positive stuff because they don't want to feel responsible for the person's suicide if they follow through, orrrr they don't want to say "yeah, it makes sense you're suicidal." Because the person may commit suicide and then a loved one that finds out may take legal action.

I have to admit, that legal case with the girlfriend that told her boyfriend to just commit suicide already instead of just talking about it, makes me feel kinda anxious about being openly pro-choice about suicide on here, but so far, no cops are after me, and I plan to CTB soon anyway, so oh well. If any cops would be after me for PMs I've had with people here, I'll be dead anyway.

Because people are selfish and if you decide to take that route all they are about is what they are missing out on, and the what if's and so forth. They claim to be able to help you *see the light at the end of the tunnel*
Because their life*may* be perfect to them, they feel everyone's life is and should be the same path
So many people live in their bubble and are unable to see beyond that, blinkered to anything but the so called good.

To them, you deciding to take your own life is incomprehensible as they truly have never been rock bottom, their rock bottom is potentially our good day...!

They probably think everyone who commits suicide has only mental problems. No "real" problems.

Because, as a function of our brains using a neural network architecture, we can only think about things in relation to our previous experiences. For most people, the entirety of their experience is having an overwhelming desire to continue living and avoid death.

They can't imagine someone wanting to kill themselves, because they, themselves, have never experienced wanting to die.

I'm just hazarding an answer here because I really don't know why people are so opposed to suicide. I think people are afraid of death and annihilation. In fact, human beings don't respond very well at all to death whether it's natural or unnatural. Death disrupts all our plans and initiatives. Humans are full of false pretensions. Death destroys all that once and for all.

Maybe suicide is falsely viewed as wrong as it represents what people fear. Many people hold delusional beliefs towards life and the world, they don't want to come to terms with the cruel, harsh reality of existing and the idea of suicide being an acceptable, rational choice shatters their beliefs.

It scares people the thought of someone voluntarily choosing death over life and this can be linked to the instinct to survive. Many humans likely fear insignificance and losing everything and after all this existence is all that they know, which causes them to have delusions that life is 'valuable', and must be prolonged at all costs. A lot of these pro life views, I believe come from a lack of understanding as to how suicidal people experience life, and what it's like to wish to leave this life behind. I think that a big part of it is selfishness, people wouldn't want to lose someone they know to suicide so they see it as being wrong for everyone. But after all, we will all die and lose everything someday. It's inevitable.

But at least to me suicide will always be a more preferable option to enduring this pointless, useless existence. It's tragic how life evolved in the first place. Non existence is ideal to me as it's the absence of everything. Suicide is an option, a rational option in a world like this and someone's wish to ctb should always be respected.
