Lol that would be the ultimate irony.

Shame death sentence is so slow and takes decades.

Unless you want stoning to death in somewhere like Iran.

This wouldn't pass legislation nowadays. It was possible in the past, but came with additional penalties that might pass onto family, as well as posthumous and extrajudicial penalties.

Assisted suicide is more likely to pass, and is a better outcome, even if everyone won't be able to procure it.

Technically suicide is already illegal since they lock you up in a mental hospital if they find out you attempted suicide. Being killed for it would be the most convenient thing that could happen, but I'm sure this anti-death society wouldnt be kind enough to do that.

Hypothetically, it would eliminate the chance of failure and the requirement to methodically plan ctb. Which is a win for people that don't mind the possibility of additional suffering and only care about failure chance.

It can't be better than if there was a painless, reliable, affordable way to ctb. I think of assisted suicide, like Dignitas but affordable & available for everyone.

It's a good point that attempting suicide can already mean you lose your liberty.

No, because if you lived in a country where you can be executed for attempting, it won't be peaceful at all. Most other countries would rather force you to live for decades in misery and suffering because other people can exploit you for profit that way. There's nothing pro-life about these people who are against the right to die, they are pro-exploitation and nothing more. We shouldn't even allow these people the dignity to label themselves with such a kind-sounding label, because they don't want us to have the dignity to die peacefully whenever we want.
