Venting Suicide as demonic?

When I hear people say this it makes me so mad. When I was a teenager, my depression was referred to as demonic and I see people call suicide demonic. Nothing says "I don't want people to commit suicide" like making a suicidal person feel even worse about themselves by telling them their depression or suicidal thoughts are them being possessed by a demon. Fuck these people lmao.

i imagine the most well intentioned think it helps by separating you as a person apart from the disorder/thoughts.. but in practice, what theyre actually doing is literally 'demonizing' any talking space for the subject and tabooing it— and when the disorder inevitably festers and takes over entirely, demonizing you as a person.

They're not wrong. The demon isn't of a spiritual or religious nature. It's your mind poisoning you and effecting your thoughts and actions. You can be your own worse enemy.
