  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

I think that suicide is a great tool if you don't want to be here in your 50, 60, 70, ..., etc.

Why continue living if you are so old? There is only misery in high age.

I know that I will not make it already till my 50 and I find some strange inner peace about this.

I am 36 and I never wished to make it this far. Definitely dont envision hitting 40 or even 37 for that matter. For some people aging can be a good thing if you have good health, social net and retirement.

Yeah I don't want to overstay my welcome here. Even tho I think being 50 or 40 is not a problem. The problem is the time that separates me from there.

If I don't CTB soon, I would probably do it eventually to avoid the inevitable deterioration that accompanies the normal aging process. As of now though I still can't envision myself living past 30.

While it's not my only or main reason for wanting my ctb, I've always had a major fear of getting older
I plan to ctb before my next birthday because after then I will no longer be able to say I'm in my 'early 20s', and I always want to be remembered and perceived as a young person

Yes, I refuse to reach old age. No matter what I will be gone by then. I will get my peace. In my opinion, there is nothing good about being old. You just get more health problems, there is no limit as to how bad things can get and there is no option of euthanasia. I have had enough at this point. I cannot put up with this life for decades. The life expectancy is too long. Ctb is inevitable for me.

Yep. This is one of many reasons why I want to die before it gets worse.

Fuck those idiots who say 'it will get better'

Everyday I look at all the old people around me, barely walking, falling down, being weak, skin full of wrinkles, then I realize damn, I'm only 19 but I'm already so tired, my body already hurts a lot, what am I gonna feel like when I get older
I actually talked about this with my dad and he was like yeah I'm gonna be like that too, you too, I said yeah I hope I don't live that long and he was so surprised and annoyed because I give him hints of my hate towards life, like why wouldn't you wanna live that long, it's like you even look forward to dying and hate us for having you...Ok that was kinda unrelated but it still baffles me how normal people really want to live as long as they can no matter what and don't see life as a burden.

Why continue living if you are so old?
If you do not have purpose you will die young. If you have a purpose you'll keep living into old age.
If you're old and you stay still and in misery you will naturally die sooner. If you keep being active that'll keep you sane + keep you healthier.
I don't think someone who's suicidal, even if they don't kill themselves, will reach 80s, 90s.

I was pretty afraid about getting old too. But now at the ripe old age of 49 I don't feel age is affecting me very much.

I can barely cope with life now let alone when I'm older, weaker, and more tired. looking at my parents is all the motivation I need to want to avoid that.

old age is hell . had a chance to work in a nursing home when i was younger but i only trained 1 day and quit . i wish i would've worked would've taught me about life and reality. man they were bad off demented , you had to feed them, wash them , change diaper, wipe them down. fuck that i'm never ending up like that . but working only a few hours there isn't like an every day thing 8 hours until it finally hits "i'm going to be like that too".

I don't know what's worse, if getting older by itself or seeing more and more younger people around me, full of energy and dreams, doing all the things I could never do and telling me they feel so old already.
