  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Did you tell your partner you're suicidal? What happened?

I did when I was struggling w depression and wanted to get better. Now that I'm more interested in ctb I don't want to burden him.

I told a lot of people in my direct environment. I think people were worried. But after a short while they seem to convince themselves it's not actually that bad and that I surely must be doing better. After a while I just don't talk about it anymore. My boyfriend is really supportive but I don't think he fully grasps the seriousness of the situation. And that extends to pretty much everyone. Also professionals. I don't know what to do the next time I break down. Ask for help… again? And experience the same invalidating comments. In my direct environment there's no-one that understands. So I keep things vague nowadays. No point in getting hurt even more.

Wow I could have written this. I have a lot of the same problems with their responses. If anyone knows what to do about this, I'm all ears.

I did and even ctb multiple times during our relationship, which only resulted on being insulted, stressed and feeling even more alone, 2 of my ctb happened because of that actually.

Fussy exister. Living in the epilogue

My ex killed herself. Being suicidal was actually one of the things we bonded over initially. I was more passively suicidal back then and she more actively, so when the topic came up it was almost always from her. It wasn't at all a taboo topic and she wasn't the type of person to hold back from expressing herself. I think that even despite understanding the suicidal mindset myself, I tried to fool myself about the situation and was less helpful and empathetic than I could or should have been. I think most people will try to "stay positive" and blind themselves to the severity of the situation for as long as possible. Reality is often just too much to deal with.

I met my husband on sanctioned suicide 5 years ago. We recently discussed having a store of N on hand and getting me life insurance. We're very practical about it and respect each others autonomy if that choice is ever made.
