Venting Suffering

I look at the world and all I see is suffering. I don't know how people keep living in this world. I mean you're going to die one day. Everything will vanish. How do you wake up and get the motivation to go be a slave? You wake up, work and repeat. Pointless. I understand if you have family but this system is so cruel.

This world does not support suicide but on the contrary supports suffering? Like what kind of stupid hypocritical world is that?

Lets look the other way on that homeless dude starving but punish him and hospitalize him if he wants to end his suffering.

There's not just suffering. There's happiness to go around. You just have to be a well-adjusted extrovert to receive any.

Well, that's your perspective. Yes, there is lot of suffering in the world, but there is lot of peace, prosperity and happiness as well. In general, our minds are inclined to see and ruminate over painful things more. Hence, the TV news is full of bad news, murders, rapes, wars, accidents etc.

There are actually lot of people who enjoy their work. They associate their life goals with their profession whether they are nurses, financial advisors or engineers... for such people they find a meaning in life in their work.

The society doesn't encourage suffering. Hence, there are doctors and healthcare policies and palliative care nursing homes. Even religion aims to ease suffering to those who subscribe to that. The society definitely doesn't promote suicidal behavior because primarily it is against the principles of human evolution. Also, there can never be a definitive guideline on who and at what point in life should one be allowed to off themselves. Pain, reasons, trauma are very subjective topics.

And there are many people who don't look away from the homeless and there is lot of effort by the gov't to integrate them with the productivity that sustains this world.

The world may be sick, but only a small part of it. Don't hate this world. Rather see how you can do your part in bringing happiness to those who want it but can't have it. Take care friend.

That's it. Go to work for what? To die nside everyday? To buy SN and be in this website. This world is sick and I'm glad I'm leaving it soon and I hope not to reincarnate.

Do one's best to alleviate or at the least not increase suffering .

Both for oneself and others.

It's all we can do .

I don't understand children with bone cancer, any cancer really; children beaten and murdered by their parents; animal cruelty; mental illness...the list goes on. Suffering for the sake of what?

As far as working - working more so you can earn more so you can spend more, repeat.

I'm highly medicated in an effort to keep my head above water for the sake of my family- as if being devoid of emotion is quality living.
