The success rate changes from place to place..but if you mean "lethality"
"Overall case fatality was 12%. For each suicide method, case fatality was higher in males and older age groups. Firearms were the most lethal suicide means (90%) followed by hanging (83%). Rates of suicide involving firearms declined over time, and those involving hanging rose."
That's just from a quick search.
Random study.
Partial is my method combined with others.
I made a post a couple weeks ago.
Just havnt updated it.
I was pretty pissed my doorknob snapped on the inside of the door.
Even though I've tested it plenty.
Idk wtf happened. I passed out.
Maybe I thrashed around? Snapped the knob and gave my cord slack? Or wasn't tight enough to begin with?
I'm combining partial with old meds/drugs/booze and swb as a back up.
The swb might change now as I've set up my old work out pull up bar.
That can not snap.
But it's in my living room not bathroom.
I would just make sure you've found your
carotid arteries. For sure.
Stay away from Adam's apple.
Tight under chin / jaw / arteries.
Have a solid anchor point.
keep in mind you might thrash around and your body weight.
A good knot/rope.
most say slip knot.
Im using Taut line hitch.
If you've found the arteries you can pass out pretty fast. Personally I think it varys from person to person.
But most say 10-20 seconds if you've found the arteries.
with 4-5 pounds of pressure.
Will make you pass out.
This of course assuming SI doesn't kick in because of pain or noises.
and your anchor point and rope stay in place and tight.
No one immediately finds you.
I will be attempting again. Without fail. Just setting up again.
Good luck.
