I feel that this is quite stigmatising and unhelpful. What drugs exactly does this reference?

'Drugs' is a very politicised word. Alcohol is a drug and according to some metrics (Professor Nutt), one of the most dangerous in society due to its availability, popularity and the harm caused in actual figures.

Mainstream society thoroughly misunderstands addiction, and the criminalised, militant approach to combating drugs often makes everything worse in terms of the harm done to communities and individuals.

You can 'be addicted' to shopping and completely ruin your life with debt.

As strong as the force of addiction can be in the lives of those it cripples, some people managee to escape its hold on them on their own -- not necessarily following the established routes of recovery. That includes a drug as stigmatised as heroin.

For Gods sake it's a suicide forum does it really matter.

@thebrinkimdriven I've seen those pics before. All of them are meth addicts.

Unfortunately, due to its extremely addictive nature, as well as very fast tolerance, it is one of the worst drugs to become dependent on. I would agree with @Jumper Geo that it is best to avoid.

Wow, that's some serious changes, and to whom asked, no it doesn't matter, if people want to know more then they should look into it themselves, but these are crazy

I'm willing to bet most people uninitiated wouldn't be able to tell the difference between someone who is homeless and drug free, homeless with mental health issues related to drugs, with issues unrelated to drugs. From my experience there are a lot of people who end up homeless or in other underclass type living situations and then use drugs to cope. The changes seen are often not due to drug use at all.

Coke doesn't really do anything to you appearance-wise, other than keep you skinny. Most people snort it, so no track marks. Only problem is quick tolerance, so costs a lot to party.
I've never tried Coke, but literally everyone who has told me it's awesome. I just don't want to pick up an expensive habit, and unfortunately it is habit-forming.

Coke is fun, but it's also highly addictive and has a pretty steep tolerance curve. It starts becoming less fun when you develop a huge tolerance and you need to spend about £60-100+ on it for a night out to get you through. Or when you need it multiple times a week otherwise it's all you can think about and you feel like absolute shit.

Basically, be smarter than I was and keep it as a recreational thing that you do every couple of weeks at most or you'll stop actually enjoying it pretty quickly.

I feel like my appearance is progressing in a very similar way over the last few years, yet I am not doing any drugs whatsoever. I guess in my case I should just stay away from life?

I've seen people change from heavy drug use first hand. It's usually crack, heroin, meth, and alcohol that produce the biggest changes.
