Death never turned on me

I never really understood why people find starving to be so bad. If I had like a cool group of people to go to a beach and starve to death with I honestly would haha. I say this because I used to have anorexia and it got bad to the point I was hospitalized, but I never really felt pain. Honestly the only thing I had were cramps, but I'd take pain meds and that kind of balanced everything out. I would not mind doing VSED in a hospital, but of course they don't accept patients that are mentally ill which kind of sucks, but to me VSED wouldn't be that bad. Yeah starving can take a while, but when I had an ED and took pain pills it was honestly pretty manageable. I just don't want to die alone (not my preference) but if I had A lot of Trusted people who wanted to starve and we all had pain meds that would be pretty cool to be honest.
I think dying with other suicidal people is nice and it gives comfort in a sense. I do wish hospitals did VSED for people like me. I'd just request lots of sleeping pills while I do VSED there so all I'd have to do is nap. It would honestly be the best thing ever

To me it does not sound as bad dying that way in a hospital, but I feel like apart from that I would probably never be able to go through with it. I think a lot of people find the thought of vsed to be horrible as it is a slow method and I would rather the dying process be over quickly. No one should have to die alone if that is what they want, suicide really should be accepted in society.

I would love it if I had a community of people who wanted to do VSED together. I did 5 days of VSED when I was homeless. The only thing that made me give up was that I was laying on a cement ground under a bridge and the mosquito bites that covered me from head to toe. The thirst and hunger wasn't that bad.

I would have tried this method too as a fellow rexie/bulimia stan, the only problem is, is that it'd take way too long. I think my body has built up an immunity to me starving myself so I'm not very sure. I don't get pains when I'm hungry except for the first 2 days of starving myself so I know it wouldn't be painful. Just tiring and boring.

Going without food honestly isn't that bad, and this is coming from someone severely overweight, who loves to eat. I recently went four days without a single bite. The lack of fluids is hell, though. I played around with VSED at home, no pain meds. Thirst is the part that got me, not hunger. I lasted for two days with no water. I'm sure that if you had hospice/some sort of palliative care support, the experience would be much more tolerable.

A quick suggestion for those of you planning to give it a try: go cold turkey. Once you stop eating, don't mess around a eat tiny bits here and there. That will only make the hunger last longer. Also, starving while still remaining hydrated takes a LOT longer. I found a You Tube video about a lady who only drank water for 100 days. She was still taking care of her family during the process. The before/after photos were astounding. She lost a ton of weight, but didn't die.

Also for those considering this try to water fast for 5-10 days before going into a dry fast so you can prepare yourself and clean yourself out before jumping into a dry fast.

4 days, even 5 is not that bad. I'd be scared to go further. I'm sure it's not meant to be pleasant experience compared to other quicker methods

I respect that! I also think VSED in a hospital is a lot quicker than VSED from home, because medical settings can provide a lot more medications for any discomfort

Ooof ! Yes that sounds horrible

For some yes it could be agonizing. For me, it wasn't so much agonizing when I was starving, but Morris annoying at times s

I get that. I have had bulimia and BED before, so I've had a range of EDs and honestly anorexia was the most comfortable out of all of them. I think in a hospital setting it would be a lot less time than at home for many reasons

Yep as long as you're hydrated you can go for a very long time. I'd say being in the care of doctors the process is a lot less in terms of time because they give you a lot of medications. I'm a foodie too honestly haha but I'd love to do VSED if the right environment allowed it

I'll say it really depends on the person. For me because I was anorexic for so long it never really bothered me, but I also took pain meds. VSED in a hospital of course is definitely a lot better when tlaking about this method though because they give you even more medicine

I feel the same way, I only kick it into high gear(bulimia) during spring and summertime because of less clothing making me insecure:,) Are there any other methods you have thought of it have available?
