I'm so sorry it didn't go as you hoped. If I may ask, why did you resign? Its a shame after the positive experience you had there, however brief.
I was working at a residential care home that is understaffed. I missed my third day because of my living situation and a migraine. It became quickly evident that I couldn't work there because post-training I would be responsible for up to 15 residents all day with one other person on medication. If I missed a day again then it would be a disaster for them. I was hoping to be out of this living situation by the time there was another altercation, but it didn't pan out that way. Story of my life, I suppose. Just a little bit out of sync.
I've been through the process of applying and going to uni in the UK. I'm happy to help if I can. It wasn't that long ago so I still remember what the process is like - UCAS, student loans etc
I've familiarized myself with the process. My problem is references right now. I can't fake references for University and all my old teachers are long gone. Furthermore everyone I have ever known is dead, moved or missing. I'm in contact with the University now to try to apply without a reference. They're slow to respond and the process is taking forever, particularly since I plan on being homeless in the coming weeks. I think I will end up submitting my application without a reference. University applications are equal opportunity, so I think they have to read my personal statement regardless of whether or not I have a reference. I'm also a mature student, which weighs in my favour in this circumstance. We'll see how it goes.
I very much appreciate the offer for help though. That's very kind of you. Cheers.
