SS now placing cookies?

Today is the first time I have seen a cookie placement notice.

I have difficulty accepting that. Is this new or this is just the first time it has popped up?

To be honest I haven't noticed before but if your security conscious, Marquis has done a big thread about security linked below, no matter what happens SS has our IP addresses when we first register but if you want to be extra cautious clear your history and cookies and downlaod TOR and use that in the future.

I have add-ons blocking cookie placement notices, but the only cookies SS sets are session cookies.
