What happens to soul after death? Does soul exist? Are we reborn or do we suffer for our sins in next life? Is there a hell or heaven?

Mnay near death experiences express a feeling of euphoria and love that is way past anything experienced in this world- wouldn't you rather have that than to not exist?I sincerely hope I just fall asleep and that's it, hope the soul dies ,wouldn't like my soul to still be wondering about. Living it's already a daily struggle. Hope there is not a soul after I die.
With all respect, personally I would just like to stop existing. But that's me, I respect your point of you .Mnay near death experiences express a feeling of euphoria and love that is way past anything experienced in this world- wouldn't you rather have that than to not exist?
I feel the same way. Additionally, there are a *lot* of different afterlives people believe in. What's to say we get a version that appeals to us? I'd rather not chance it and just be done and that's it.With all respect, personally I would just like to stop existing. But that's me, I respect your point of you .
People always talk about that white light they see in a near death experience , I think that light is the huge light that hospitals have above our head and body when they are performing a surgery, just wondering…. Have you seen the movie the lovely bones? If after life was like that , then I would change my mind.I feel the same way. Additionally, there are a *lot* of different afterlives people believe in. My guess is that whether there is an afterlife or not is not a choice we make- many people who hoped for or expected nothing found euphoria and love after this life even if they didn't want it- these stories are posted on youtube- maybe i believe them too easily, but they do seem true to me.With all respect, personally I would just like to stop existing. It's all about point of views. My guess is that whether there is an afterlife or not is not a choice we make- many people who hoped for or expected nothing found euphoria and love after this life even if they didn't want it- these stories are posted on youtube- maybe i believe them too easily, but they do seem true to me.
I have not watched that movie, but I just read the description of it. That sounds like a great afterlife! I think ill give it a watch.People always talk about that white light they see in a near death experience , I think that light is the huge light that hospitals have above our head and body when they are performing a surgery, just wondering…. Yes give it a watch, it's very nice that movie. Personally I keep on hoping not to come back again when I'm gone.I have not watched that movie, but I just read the description of it. That sounds like a great afterlife! I think ill give it a watch.
I think for me what I really imagine for an afterlife is basically the same as the beforelife. I wasn't suffering then, so I imagine I won't be suffering after either.
That's exactly what I wish it happens, beautifully written.I think that there is nothing after death, when we lose consciousness that is it for us, we are gone. Death is an end to all suffering and it is true peace. Nothing can hurt me once I am dead.
We've all made mistakes in life.I think the idea of reincarnation resonates with me the most . It's cool I guess . What scares me is being reincarnated into this same life , having the same experiences . If so , I'll just have to CTB over , over , & over again . Until whatever's in charge gets tired of my shit.
Not necessarily. If you're reincarnated you won't have any memory of your past life, unfortunately . How could I know to fix these things if I'm not aware ?We've all made mistakes in life.
If you come back as yourself, in this world, you can just adjust.
I love the thought of being reincarnated in a parallel universe.
The possibilities are endless. That's what I find so alluring.
No one has a definitive answer. But IMHO, Id believe whatever I want to believe to give me a peace of mind if its my last day on earth. What happens to soul after death? Does soul exist? Are we reborn or do we suffer for our sins in next life? Is there a hell or heaven?
I really hope we do I'd do anything to see my mom againYou reincarnate.
See you on the other side.
Many near death experience videos on youtube, which seem credible to me, show that when the body dies the soul keeps on living- and in most cases goes to a much happier place. Ndes vary, though, so who knows for sure what will happen. SO it's really being reborn but instead it's a person's body continuing to live after their body dies.To reborn would be an horror.
With all due respect, how can we be judged if we had our upbringings and genetics forced upon us?What i believe in that most people consciousness will be put on pause like anaesthesia until they are brought back to life again to receive their eternal life after being audited for their actions and impact on others good and bad and accordingly they will be rewarded or not. I think most people have nothing to worry about if they are not outright malignant and harmful to others. I dont thinks suicide is optimal but i dont think it will be punished with hell because it is not fair outcome for those who couldnt carry on in this life
The soul is just a metaphor for our personality, which is all contained in our brain. If you hack a part of the brain off then the personality will change permanently in measurable ways. Does the soul remain untouched? I just don't understand this. Many near death experience videos on youtube, which seem credible to me, show that when the body dies the soul keeps on living- and in most cases goes to a much happier place. The answer to "why not hang on a little longer?" should all come down to whether that hanging out is bearable enough. I often just think instead, "okay so if it's forever sleep and I'll be there anyway, why hesitate with this? Especially since I do not know how measures against ctb will ramp up in the future".In my opinion, belief in an afterlife is simply wishful thinking. Many people can't imagine eternal death, so they imagine continued existence of some sort after earthly death. Other people grieve so much for a lost loved one that they're willing to have blind faith in a heaven where they'll eventually reunite. Belief in an afterlife is beneficial because it provides hope and and helps mend broken hearts. But in the end, death is forever. We'll be in the same state we were the billions of years before we were conceived--nothingness, non-existence. No pain, no dreams, no awareness. Although I have daily suicidal ideations, the thought of eternal death sometimes makes me reconsider offing myself. Since I have just this one life to live, why not hang on a while longer? The way time passes so quickly, I'll be dead forever soon enough anyway.
I have alluded about my opinion on this in this thread. If you feel like asking question to go deeper into the topic i will be happy to answer it there. https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...ing-equilibrium-principle.82473/#post-1474187With all due respect, how can we be judged if we had our upbringings and genetics forced upon us?
