I don't understand how she successfully ctb by making a ligature out of a football scarf on a radiator and we're all agonising about the right material to use and the right anchor point. I have a scarf and a radiator but don't know how tf I would make that setup work..? On top of which she must have done it very quickly because they do checks in inpatient settings..

I'm sure it wasn't nice for her being institutionalised, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I also hope that she didn't suffer though.

It certainly makes suicide sound so much easier than it actually is when you hear of people managing to succeed like that, I envy them for managing to escape from all the suffering. Rest in peace, I think that those who managed to succeed with the hanging method were courageous.

I guess she just had luck...? most attempts fail but i guess media talks more about the ones that succeed if u know what I mean... But i believe out of the entire human population its wasnt so unlikely that sooner or later smth like that would happen...

This place is quite near where I live, I've actually been there for an appointment! When I was thinking of trying to get private treatment I looked at going there.., read reviews and heard this story so decided no fucking way..It's actually disgusting how bad this hospital is and the reviews speak volumes about how people with mental illness are treated in their 'care'

There was a TikTok person who also hanged herself while inpatient. I don't remember her name, but she had a decent following. That shit takes some major willpower.

I've been in a priory and luckily most of the staff were amazing in the one I was at, but I think it's very hit and miss. It had received a very bad CQC report a few years ago... The agency staff weren't so great. It was actually far better than other wards I've been on, considering I was sexually assaulted by another patient in that one. Also it was same sex and half the number of patients as other wards I've been on. Sorry that the one near you had bad reviews. It's still just like a holding pen, where they chuck medications at you, but at least there were a couple of group therapy sessions on offer.
