Sometimes I wish a war would break out

This is probably related to my fear to CTB and wish for an inadvertent death. I don't know, I know it's a stupid thing to hope for.

Who knows, might happen since the upcoming president wants Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal, etc. and I heard that Iran has threatened America and pledged support for Mexico, Greenland, Canada, and Panama. Then again, every time a new president comes in, the media pushes the idea of "WWIII will happen!"

I hear you but I swear with my luck (or lack thereof) I would survive such a war and have to navigate a possible post nuclear apocalyptic future.

Regarding Trump annexing Canada and Greenland, that's mostly trolling and his usual bullshit. He's a bully that tests the waters.

for me, i hate the idea of a world war 3 or any big war affecting where i live. its selfish but my ctb would no longer matter. i probably wouldnt even get the chance to ctb- instead dying some other awful way. i hate the idea of not choosing when i die, being part of a statistic of deaths, just another number... plus, theres things i want to do before ctb that a world war would inhibit. if i cant, itd all just feel hopeless. not even dying would feel satisfying anymore.

First off, I cannot-- actually I refuse-- to watch the news anymore. Call it "burying my head in the sand"--- I just know myself, and I know how much of that shit is curated to keep us in a place of fear and divisiveness. I hope all the time to have some sort of "natural" tragedy happen so that I can just be done here. I cry every single time I get test results back from my doctor that say "benign". We all wish for the easy way out--- for a million very valid different reasons---- truth is, this shit isn't easy. And it's not selfish. People on the other side of this just don't get it. I don't really know what else to say or if this answers anything you were looking for-- just felt compelled to share. Best to you.

Won't happen. I can absolutely guarantee that America will not be invading any foreign nations for a hostile takeover, and is all political tough talk, and if anything happens, it'll be the end of the Russia/Ukraine war. But however, yes, Iran has basically declared war on the us, but that one would be done, not by invasion of the country, but very likely either a large cyber attack or taking out our electric grid, or possible terrorist attack. I would though consider Iran a very serious threat at this point. But as far as something like a major world war, or nuclear exchange, don't hold your breath. Don't think that'll happen anytime soon.

There is literally wars going on right now, but not in the country you're in. Move to a different country perhaps?

People have lost loved ones. Kids without parents. Parents without kids, husbands. What the fuck is wrong with you?

Let me get this straight.. you'd prefer a war broke out to you killing yourself? You'd rather a load of people died, just so you could kill yourself? Right. It is possible to kill yourself, but you'd rather that.. involve others? Get a grip for crying out loud.

Some of my family members have been in wars in other countries, and some of their friends had body parts blown off from stepping on mines, so now they only have a torso left. Some killed themselves because of the horrific things they have seen. Some didn't make it and died out there. They didn't go to war wanting this, they were doing their job, following orders to protect civilians like YOU. If they weren't physically injured, they ended up with severe PTSD and are now completely fucked. For life.

And you.. wish for that on others? When you're mentioning a war, you're literally involving others. It's like those sick fucks that purposely kill themselves in front of people (on purpose I said), but this is... there is no comparison.

Honestly probably same. Terrible luck for me. At least it would give me a more valid reason to CTB. I figured he's trolling but it still felt relevant to mention, especially since it evoked a response from Iran.

That's fair. I definitely understand where you're coming from, especially since im feeling a little more level than when I wrote this post up. I suppose I just have less aspirations than most. The one thing I really wanted to do was go on a plane ride and ever since that happened, I'm okay with whatever happens to me now.

I absolutley never will wish for war, although I will concede that it's necessary in limited circumstances.

War isn't just a bunch of guys in uniforms killing each other on battlefields, it's much more horrific than that. It damages the very fabric of society, and traumatizes entire nations for multiple generations. Look at what's happening to the civilian population in Ukraine and Palestine, to name just two current armed conflicts. Homes are destroyed, leaving families on the streets. People from all walks of life are killed causing trauma to everyone who cared about them. People are constantly at risk of brutal injury or death creating widespread PTSD.

Trauma in parents impacts their children. Soldiers often develop PTSD that cascades out to damage their entire family. Children are exposed to violence and intense stress without even minimal mental health care to support them. Many children are orphaned. These kids will never have a shot at a happy, healthy life. Their entire future has been stolen from them, and the impact of that will resonate for generations into the future.

If you're hoping for death in combat, only a lucky few will be killed, and many of those deaths will be horrifically painful. Looking at data from the war in Afghanistan, soldiers were 10x more likely to be injured than die. Many of those injuries caused lifelong disabilities, chronic pain, and brain damage. War also damages soldier's mental health, with veterans having almost 2x the suicide rate of the general population.

I never want to see more people get subjected to the kind of trauma and adversity that causes them to become suicidal. My personal mental health challenges have been a neverending nightmare, and I would never wish that experience on anyone else. I absolutely wouldn't want to subject anyone to the even more extreme forms of mental torment and physical torture found in war.

I rather wish they legalize Nembutal. But an asteroid hitting is more likely, so I wish rather that they legalize guns in my country so I can buy one, go to a forest, have a few drinks and then eat a bullet. But a war starting seems more likely, lol. Then I would go to a battlefield, pick up a gun from a fallen soldier and get the gun that way.

I genuinely think a war is more likely than Nembutal ever being made more accessible. SN being harder to access already shows the way we're heading as a society in terms of accessible suicide. Not to mention MAID in Canada getting delayed for like the next 5 years, I believe?
