Sorry for the long post.

Back in the end of July as I was sitting on my bed, I had started feeling this sharp pain on the left side of my heart, followed by excruciating pain. Then I started having trouble breathing. This lasted for about 15-20 mins. I felt like I was going to die. My heart started having irregular heart beat after that when I lay down. Then about a week later I went biking and went about 2 miles and my heart started pounding really fast. My chest was in pain, I had trouble breathing, felt light headed and almost passed out. I tried drinking water to see if would help as it was very hot and humid that day. Then I started to try and walk it off. After a few blocks my heart started to calm down a bit and the pain in my chest was gone. I then hopped back on my bike and rode for about 3 block before my heart started beating fast again then the pain in chest started to come back but wasn't as bad. I stopped riding and sat at park for about 30 mins then proceeded to ride again. I rode to a store to get more water as I had finished my bottle of water. I still had a little pain my chest as I rode and when I have gotten to an uphill on a bridge, my heart was beating fast and my chest was in pain again. I made it to the middle of the bridge and to take a break and gather myself again. I smoked myself a joint and my heart had calmed down. Now I still get pain in my chest and irregular heart beat. When I lay down I get this pain on my left shoulder blade and arm start getting this numbing feeling like it is deprived of blood. Also when I apply pressure to the middle of my chest, it feels like it is bruised. I haven't gone to the doctor as I don't have insurance right now and at the time that it started, I only had a few months of insurance left. I also been slit my wrist a few times and one was pretty bad to which I believe I might've needed stitches but never got it. My doctor's do a blood withdrawal for ever visit and I didn't want to get admitted. Does anyone know what's going on with my heart?

There's really no way to know without getting a cardiac work up.

Sounds pretty much like a heart attack. Could be congestive heart failure maybe.
Not meaning to be irreverent but if you want to catch the bus on time it would help
not to die before then. Take the risk and go get checked out. Don't dismiss it as a panic attack.

Yea I know I'm just hoping someone would have an idea. And I had been slitting my wrist this past few days and I don't really want to get admitted. Thanks for all hugs you've been giving.

I doubt it is a heart problem, most probably anxiety. Life style changes could help.

Do you have heart palpitations with the chest pain? When mines gets really bad I have similar symptoms. Just take time to relax and drink plenty of water. Try to keep your stress to a minimum. If it gets severe, go to emergency.

There's skeletal/muscular things that can cause shoulder/arm/chest/etc pains some of them common. There's other things like stomach/esophagus things that cause heart feeling things. It could be an infection of some type as well. Go get it checked out.

It really could be anything from something benign to something more serious. Armchair diagnoses won't help you, you need a doctor. To try and allay some of your worry, there are a multitude of benign things that could cause your symptoms but there is no way of knowing until you get checked out. And if it is more serious, you need to know.

Sometimes I do at other times my heart just feels strained.

Yea I was thinking that the pain in my shoulder blade is separate from the issue with my heart but I didn't start receiving pain there until I started having issues with my heart. At first when I would lay on my left side or my back I would have heart palpitations and my chest would hurt only. Now my the shoulder pain comes with it. So now I sleep in my right. I'll have to wait until my wrist heals before I go to see a doctor. And it turns out I still have my insurance.

I go through the same thing and my doc said stress. Considering I have anxiety about like everything, I can believe this.

So I decided to do my self diagnose by waiting the pain in my shoulder had gone away. I applied pressure to my chest to see when I activate the pain in that area to see if it affects my shoulder and it does. So I looked up chest and shoulder pain and what had came up is angina.

I used to have tingles in my chest, left arm and hands, as well as sharp pains in my back and chest. That made me go to a cardiologist last year and she was surprised to see a young person like me go to her, but I wanted to make sure I was OK. I was examined, got an ECG, and apparently I was fine. I figure it was just anxiety and possibly a muscle problem, but this is just my experience. Please see a specialist if you can. Better safe than sorry.
