Someone close committed suicide ?¿

Has anyone close to you committed suicide ? For me it was my sister and it's made me worse .. can anyone relate with someone close ?
I feel so bad for her bf .. his two best friends have committed suicide also so 3 people close to him have died that way

One of my friends from school slit his throat in 2015, and my best friend's brother hang himself in around 2007. The 2007 incident hit me as strange. I wasn't remotely suicidal. Then in 2015 I could relate, in a way, though it came completely out of the blue.

When I was a little kid,an aunt stuck her head in a gas oven. I remember being transfixed by her photo,whilst trying to comprehend it.

Years later,another aunt's husband,who had been suffering from depression for years and had turned to alcohol,filled his kitchen with gas and took his own life.

From what I understand,gas is not the same now,and this won't work anymore.

i was in the psych ward (that one time a suicide attempt resulted in being sectioned).
Grew close to a chap and we spent hours talking.
A few months later,I was shocked to see an article in the Daily Mail,reporting that he'd stabbed himself to death.

My uncle who I was very close to hanged himself in 1998.

he supported me through mental hospital stays, he'd come to my house when i was sad and would just lay with me.
he was 2 years older than me, i thought he was a saint in disguise.

everyone thought he was doing better.
i miss him. i hope he found his peace, he was a peach.

No, but I remember reading about the boxer George Chuvalo, who fought Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. He had 2 sons who committed suicide, after which his wife committed suicide.

What a terrible hand to be dealt.

I was in adolescent psych unit and 2 friends from in there. One hung herself in the wardrobe in the hospital she was put in after she turned 18 and was too old for the adolescent unit. The other died 19th September 2007. She was in her 20s and also had BPD. She wrote a DRO kind of letter and then drank antifreeze before going to hospital. The hospital she took herself to we're instructed in the letter than her wishes were just to be kept comfortable so she didn't have to die alone and in pain. It worked out for her. I was gutted at the time. Also a friend from high school killed himself a few years back. And a lady I used to do drugs with when I was a teenager!

Yes lost a friend last year , he was a great guy, very handsome and was a talented boxer. Everyone was devastated when he took his own life, never thought he would be one to do that. His funeral was heartbreaking. Still think about him al the time , hope he wasn't in pain when he did it. And I hope he is at peace now. Visited his grave a few days after the anniversary of his passing last month, still surreal!
