Some people's succesful lives triggers me so hard

I was talking in a chatroom to some guy (who I'm pretty sure was lying) about how he is super tall and muscular, has tons of sex, has a succesful high paying lawyer job, no health conditions, and many admirers.

This guy was probably lying (I dont think anyone that succesful needs to spend time telling losers like me that) but it made me think how some guys out there are definitely living that life. Something I could never attain even if I wasnt suicidal.

When I'm reminded of such superstars I'll always feel like the world was made for them and I am a secondary or background character, and that makes me feel even more cynical and suicidal.

I've luckily never wanted to fit into that archetype, so that type of ultra-Alpha doesn't usually bother me.

But it's still hard to be looked down upon by people like that, or to encounter other people who've been more successful in my own personal goals, especially if they've done it with less effort.

If that guy was intentionally trying to make you feel bad, there's a good chance you're a better person than him regardless of whether or not he's lyring.

Some people may appear to be fine on the outside, but in reality we do not know how much they are suffering as we are not living their lives. Life is unfair though overall, as some people do have better luck in life and they do not suffer as much. I am personally only envious of those who are dead. Nothing would ever make me want to live.

It comes back to what you value in life. I personally cannot be envious of someone who lacks empathy or humility as I see those kinds of people as being part of what's wrong with the world.

Life is essentially a gamble, with many people being advantaged or disadvantaged through no actions of their own. For some people most of the cards line up and it is down to luck, as some people can have similar circumstances but never reach the same level of "success". Even people who are outwardly successful can have their own problems they keep secret and may not be truly satisfied.

never trust people like that, it's impossible to live a perfect life although it is so frustrating how much easier living comes to some people. either way its nothing to brag about and youre definitely a better person than that guy.

He's definitely a pathetic liar. I'm reminded of a member who used to occasionally log in to brag about being young, beautiful & successful. They kept repeating that they weren't even depressed anymore, that they just wanted to "help unfortunate people". Why do you chat with assholes anyway?

Yeah, there are people like that in the world but I just see them as narcissistic Patrick Bateman types. Behind the mask they are just broken people like the rest of society. I don't admire anybody who brags about money and sex, nor do I see them as a benchmark for success. I just feel sad that this is the type of world we live in.
