Posting this in a different thread.
1) The origin of SN as a method for suicide. It's Philip Nitschke, isn't it ? No other reputable sources that have been backing up this one ?
I checked with an older version of the PPEH in which 10 gr was recommended. Soemone here stated that Nitschke first suggested 5 gr, which I'm quite willing to believe.
2) Cimetidine/ranitidine is supposed to increase gastric PH. Supposedly, this increase the absorption of the SN.
Actually, why ? A few sources on the internet suggest that higher PH increases gastric emptying. True ? What else does ? How effective is cimetidine and is it variable ? Presumably SN is absorbed int he small intestine, and the faster the better. Why the huge variability of onset and time till death ?
3) the amount of water it is dissolved in. Does it matter ?
Surviving high dose SN attempts can lead to organ damage, specifically brain damage.
