Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Every single argument I've heard that says: "You are suicidal because of your illness, it's the illness speaking" is only HALF CORRECT , you are suicidal because of your illness that makes your life hell, in 90% of the cases, correct. But not all illnesses cloud your judgement and even those that do are not a reason to not be able to choose suicide or it's not a reason that makes suicide a foolish choice??

Even the answer itself , it's parroted in society, doesn't that invalidate the argument? Isn't it a hypocritical thing to say? It's not something you yourself came up with or at least managed to comprehend, you are just repeating what you've heard and what was told you it was good along side every single concept that predates it (Life is good, life is sacred, humans are important, animals are not important , suicide is bad, there is always a way out of a dark place, etc).

What is the difference? The illness making me feel suicidal and society making them feel against suicide? What's the difference between these things? An external power is telling them how to feel and they make choices because of that (their words, not mine) so then , doesn't it mean that the whole argument that illness is making you suicidal is moot? because truly only a couple of people can come up with that argument or a similar one using their own noggin' and THATS THEIR OPINION, THEIR SUBJECTIVE OPINION ON WHAT A PERSON SHOULD BE.

End rant.

Depending on how loosely you read the definition of "disease" one can take disease to include not just bacteria and virus caused disease, but an open wound... because it is something interfering with the normal operation of your body's cells. With that in mind...

We aren't always good at seeing when people are hurt or are hurting. We aren't always good at listening to them when they want to talk about it. We are VERY good at pointing blame at whatever part we notice or hear. We are often very BAD at blaming the right thing. We are also bad at following up and actually trying to do something to make things better.

Oh, and very few people like to blame themselves. Most have a blind spot where they will not even look inward for responsibility... so when society at large is to blame for a thing, you're going to get a lot of finger pointing away from society and a lot of blame on the wrong people/things and a lot of inactivity or pointless activity that helps no one.
