Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I've been here for a while now and majority of the users I would see on the daily have left

Some have died, others have just vanished.

I feel this sense of grief when I scroll through the "latest threads" page. It feels as though this site is so empty now? I don't know how to explain it.
I didn't even know any of these users personally, I would just read their threads and empathize with them.
it's painful enough for me to see someone go despite not knowing them, so I cannot immagine what it's like for those that befriended them.

It's so weird opening the chat and not seeing these users on there anymore. It's so weird seeing all these new unfamiliar faces come and go.
I feel as though I'm sitting in a park, watching the same people walk by everyday when suddenly they don't anymore.

I hope all the users who have passed can rest peacefully. I'm sorry it had to come to this.

That's a good observation

Given the intention of this forums I consider it a good thing people are moving on, either because it means they met their goal of death or overcame depression / problems and are moving past them (hopefully) in life. Thus have no need to frequent this forum anymore. But I definitely agree it's sad to see a place you frequent become silent as others move along in their journey, wherever that takes them.

welcome back I think~ :) yeah~ don't be too sad tho~ A lot of users recover or just stop using the site~ :) hopefully, their lives have gotten better~ ^_^ unfortunately, a lot of our lives just don't, and we just kinda rot here ig~ >_< altho, I kinda like it here~ :) anyways, a lot of users tend to either go through with an attempt or leave the site after about 3 months~ altho, yeah, I do feel like the site is a bit more inactive compared to how it used to be~ >_<

i havent been around here long myself but i agree its melancholic seeing users disappear. reading ppls threads daily i get to know them in a way and i start to remember them. seeing familiar faces go makes me sad, its a weird feeling grieving ppl who never knew you. i hope everyones at peace now, i'll remember them. and to all the frequent users here i hope they know someone cares about their stories 💕
