Discussion so it turns out i qualify for MAiD...

i have moved from my previous country where all forms of MAiD are illegal, to the netherlands.
after some searching, it turns out that under dutch law i pretty much tick every box for assisted suicide,,
and that it is not a dehumanising process unlike other countries,,

while reading this info i literally started crying of happiness and said yay outloud a couple times,
there's finally a dignified escape for me,

i might even be able to get a fast-tracked assistance
i'm so happy,

i will ask my doctors about this when i am able to sign up

no one should envy the physical pain i have been in, it's awful.

ha thats the thing they don't know
doctors who specialise in treating the symptoms i have are refusing to even give me an appointment because of how severe mine is :D

im just in pain, constantly, with my organs slowly failing, and have been since 6/7

it probably will take me like,, 2, maybe 3 years as they will need to redo all of the tests and treatments my other country did first, but if it means i can have a dignified death and not be alone that will motivate me to stick around,

not looking forward to being forced to live longer but we ball

so..
people who have been following my story will know i'm fairly open and honest with my friends and tell them most things with regards to my mental health.

i decided to be up front with them and tell them what i found in regards to me being eligible for MAiD,

it was very well received. they are much more accepting of me passing via MAiD than "normal" suicide, it also acts as a way to prove i am truly beyond hope, as MAiD requires no available treatment to work

i'm happy now, i'll finally be taken both seriously by medical professionals, and not seen as weak by those around me, as they will have irrefutable evidence of my suffering

Government bureaucracy is pretty bad in my state. Trying to get decent care on Medicaid is a constant struggle. If you are poor, you'll get the runaround. Some states do offer an Assisted CTB program for the terminally ill and it seems well managed. My state doesn't have that option but they'd probably make it next to impossible to use even if they did.

Canada seems more progressive than the states!

Government bureaucracy is pretty bad in my state. Trying to get decent care on Medicaid is a constant struggle. If you are poor, you'll get the runaround. Even more progressive. I recall a young man with incurable mental illness recently utilizing the medical assisted ctb program there. Sounds like he really tried to get better but ran out of treatment options. His decision was pragmatic and not based on impulse or emotion. Our politicians in the west would never allow it, they are unable to reason.

I dont apply for Assisted death in USA (i planned to move there, i am legal). My health condotion despite being horrific does not count so seems i will have to do suicide tourism. To a country in europe

I have a doubt. Let's say someone does the two or three years of tests and it's approved and they say come on over. So now we can can we schedule it for whenever we want? Let's say I want to enjoy the next year of my life and schedule it for a year from when they approve it. Is that possible?
