for a many years I walked almost every day in the bush, hoping one of our venomous snakes would bite me. I had a sleeping pill in my kit because if I got bitten I would have popped the pill and settled myself under a nice tree and drift off, knowing that the venom would do its work quickly. But I have since learnt that only about 30% of venomous snakes (of which we have several here) actually release the venom, so I might have woken up covered in ants and pissed off that the snake did not keep their end of the bargain.
