I wouldn't say people refusing to help in that is them being "pro-lifers" tbh, but there's a lot to consider.

The age of the person asking(many don't feel comfortable helping someone very young for example), also the circumstances of the asking person(how bad do they have it and for how long has it been going).

Also, many fear being implicated, fear going to jail cus of this or something, so it's not an easy decision to make.

Tbh, it's not the members here that we should blame, but the system that made us all so desperate to find peaceful methods due to all the restrictions being placed.

Peehaps you're just not "vetted" enough. People don't know who you are (possible anti-choicer posing as "one of us") and don't want to risk losing another source should it be provided to the wrong person who somehow gets it shutdown.

i understand that, but if thats the case why do i see people that joined literally a few weeks ago with less than 20 posts that got told the source?

You can't possible know that for certain. People say all kinds of things, many of which are not true, or exaggerated. Maybe the person who will provide you with a source just hasn't found and read one of your posts, yet. It is a fact that people on SS today are A LOT more sus, in general, and more protective about sources, compared to even just a couple years ago. The last couple years have witnessed the loss of many sources, SN as well as, N.

i guess thats true, i understand why ppl are protective but i wasnt thinking about it at the moment since i dont think through stuff when im frustrated
