I recently tested sodium nitrite from PC. Target concentration was around 12 ppm nitrite so that part seems fine, but the nitrate reading came out high like 100–250 ppm. Does that mean the batch is trash? Or still usable? Can I just up the dose and take it anyway?

I've heard this brand has had some varying quality in the past so I want to make sure.

I've heard from people on this forum that it's a problem with all test strips, and that in such a test, you shouldn't pay attention to the nitrate test results.
I have 3 SN samples from different sources(Don't write to me about the sources, these are local sources, and they won't send them abroad), and 2 types of test strips.

Below is a link to a post where I replied — although it's on a slightly different topic, but there are many screenshots showing that my tests and those of other people also reacted to nitrates and showed strong coloring.
