Good evening everyone,

I did an aquarium test last week Monday, and thought it was positive. Then, after about an hour, I noticed the test strip which I used for the plain distilled water, turned bright for Nitrite as well. Post here:

I also realised I should've allowed 60 seconds developing time as opposed to 30 seconds like I thought (using Google Lens translation). So I ordered more water and just did the test again. Same result, and I took note that the strip for the distilled water only, turned bright in about 10 minutes.

Today's test results:

Cup 2:

And the three strips after 10 minutes:

Haven't done the blood test (stupidly squeamish). The CoA looks like 98,5% purity:

Any thoughts?

odd for plain water testing positive, tho it could be some traces of nitrite from the air, I remember opening chocolate powder carefully, yet still breathing traces of it... similar thing could happen with SN, since powders spread.

Also, I also wouldn't do the blood test, coz if the test passes, then a blood test would just cause unneeded hesitation and pain

Interesting, thank you. Maybe I should do the test with distilled water again, with no SN in sight, just out of interest. I hear you about the blood test and agree. Not sure where I stand at the moment, since testing I feel a sense of relief in just having the SN finally. Guess I'm taking some time to digest things, the finality over which I can decide, getting things in order. Next step is obtaining the other meds for the protocol.
