SN protocol: how much benzos do you actually need?

I finally got a prescription for benzos (for my 'panic disorder')! I've been given 30 pills of 1mg lorazepam (ativan). The 2025 PPeH says to take 500mg diazepam before SN, which converts to around 80mg lorazepam. Am I crazy or is this an insane amount? I only have 30mg so I'd need another 2 refills (not to mention I'd like to try out a few pills first to see how they feel).

Could I get by with only 30mg ativan, or would it not help in ctb'ing?

It's not the main ingredient...sn is still the one. High amount of benzos would knock you out quickly that's the point of it

You Absolutely do Not need benzos, I believe it's more of a comfort/ peace..? Luxury substance to add into the mix.

If you've never done benzos before, 30 mg will definately do the trick. Maybe try 1-2 tablets to see its effects first.
