So for my "science experiment" where I'm using SN, how do you reckon I should dispose of it after doing the strip test?

I've done my basic high school chemistry class so I know pouring it down the sink is not ideal, so any suggestions? In addition, the min. ordering amount of SN was quite a big amount, how should I dispose of the rest of it?

Also would it be okay if I poured my SN into a jar? After reading the stability of SN thread I'm assuming it should be alright if it's in contact with air for a short amount of time.. right? My CtB date will be roughly a week after I receive the SN, should I also just test it again when I do need to use it or is there no need for concern?

You can pour it in a jar as long as the jar is airtight. If you are not certain that the jair is airtight you can put the jar in a ziploc bag. If you plan to ctb after 1 week of receiving your SN, you don't need to retest your SN. SN does not degrade that fast.

What if it's a period of 5 months do you need to retest it if it's been relocated into a jar in ziplock bag?

honestly, reading the stability of SN post, I think you probably wouldnt need to? But if it brings your mind at peace, wouldnt hurt to double check a week before you need to use it right?

If your SN has been in an airtight ziploc bag and in a dark place, there is no need to retest your SN.
